  • Our unique fluorescent sunscreen formula allows users to see where they apply sunscreen with the black light contained on the packaging. Areas on your skin that appear blue are covered and areas that appear a faint purple are not covered.

  • You can use the black light anywhere, but it is most effective inside. It is difficult to see the light in sunlight, so move inside or in the shade for maximum efficiency.

  • YouV sunscreen functions like any other sunscreen with or without the light. The light is an additional feature that allows you to check your sunscreen coverage when it is most convenient.

  • Always be sure to check the expiration date located on the tube.

  • Like any other concentrated light, avoid, shining it directly in your eyes. However, the UV light is extremely low powered and has virtually no effect on your skin.

  • No, YouV is a physical sunscreen and does not contain any chemical active sunscreen ingredients that negatively affect your health or the environment.

  • SPF stands for “sun protection factor” and it measures how well a sunscreen can protect your skin from the sun. SPF 30 sunscreen blocks 97% of UVB rays. In addition to that level of protection, YouV sunscreen also protects against UVA rays. To be the most effective ensure you reapply sunscreen every two hours.

  • YouV’s fragrance is derived from vanillin. There are no other added fragrance ingredients in YouV or anything that makes it really pungent.

SUN PROTECTION TIPS

  • 20 minutes of unprotected sun exposure is all you need for a daily dose of Vitamin D

  • Seek Shade especially between 10 AM and 4 PM

  • Apply 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) of sunscreen to your entire body 30 minutes before going outside. Reapply every two hours, or immediately after swimming, excessive sweating or toweling

  • Keep newborns out of the sun. Sunscreens should be used on babies over the age of six months.

  • Examine your skin head-to-toe every month.

  • See your physician every year for a professional skin exam.

  • Whenever possible, cover up with clothing - including a broad-brimmed hat and UV blocking sunglasses.

  • Use YouV light to examine your sunscreen protection indoors or in shade.
